Proposal : The Grand Vizier

[ In light of a weekly-task thing being proposed as the Emperor's job, but the Emperor not wanting to do it, maybe it's time he had an (optionally scheming) Grand Vizier. ]

To Rule 18, add:-

Each Dynasty may have a single Grand Vizier, responsible for overseeing certain aspects of the game.

If a Dynasty has no Grand Vizier, the Emperor may appoint any Player as Grand Vizier for that Dynasty, by posting such a declaration to the BlogNomic blog. A Grand Vizier may resign at any time by posting a message of resignation to the BlogNomic blog.

Call For Judgement

What happens if you SPECIFICALLY remember voting against a proposal, and posting it to the comments, but yet for some reason it didn't show up (due to technical difficulty) and the proposal passes?

I distinctly remember voting against Proposal: Lottery Latterly (and having a long, drawn-out explaination of why), but it looks like for some reason it didn't show up in the comments. It also looks as though after only two "for" votes, it passed. Wasn't the quorum three?

I know I haven't exactly been keeping up, but I know not too much has happened since the last time I posted. I don't really see how I could be wrong on this one. If I am, though, I won't whine about it as long as I have a good explanation.

Proposal : Golden Flux

[ I feel in the mood for a ruleset-mutating rule. ]

Enact a new Rule, "Fluctuation of the Markets":-

Once per week, on a Monday, the Emperor may Fluctuate the Markets. (If a Monday passes when the Markets have not been Fluctuated, the Emperor - unless he is Idle - loses 30 Gold.)

When the Markets are Fluctuated, the Emperor should select any two (separate) mentions of Gold quantities in the Ruleset (eg. "30 Gold"), using any random decision-making tool of his choice, such that each mention is equally likely to be chosen.

The first such mention then has its quantity doubled, and the second has its quantity halved (rounding away from zero).

Proposal : Team Power

[ Hmm, I was just about to announce my Team and invite someone to join it, but on closer inspection Teams actually aren't that useful, and I'd have to check back before midnight and pay 10 Gold in tax for my Team to exist at all.

I propose replacing the Team mechanics with a simple one-sentence summary of how I expected them to work, and losing the Mondays-only announcement rule (as well as the automatic weekly expiration); maybe this'll actually get people joining them. ]

Reword Rule 20 (Teams) to:-

Players may form two-Player Teams, if they desire - such Teams are announced and dissolved by having one member post such a message to the BlogNomic Blog, and the other responding to it within 24 hours.

Teams are listed in the sidebar, although they take effect the moment they are declared. (Admin may claim 2 Gold whenever they update the Team sidebar to reflect the Teams in existence.)

Whenever a Player gains or loses Gold (except by this rule), their Team partner automatically gains or loses half of the same amount (rounding away from zero).
