Proposal: Remnants

Replace the initial text on the wiki homepage with:-

This is a Wiki for the Blognomic Legacy. The live version of Blognomic is now at blognomic.com. Designated custodians are empowered to maintain this wiki and Blognomic Legacy. If you've never used a Wiki before, read the WikiHelp.

Remove the "Current Dynasty Data" section from the wiki homepage.

Remove all items from the sidebar FAQ, and then add these two items:-

What is this?
This is the one-time home of Blognomic. The blogger archives of blognomic posts may be viewed here, and this blog is still open for general blognomic discussion.

How do I play?
Go to www.blognomic.com, the live game of blognomic and view the FAQ there.

Remove the "Need to know", "GNDT" and "Previous Posts" sidebar items. Change "Active Disciples" to "Active Members", change "(admin in bold and *)" to "(custodian in bold and *)", and remove the Quorum and Idle Disciples list. Change the title from "Blognomic Second Dynasty of Josh" to "Blognomic Legacy".

Switch Guidebook

Hey,

If this Switch really does happen soon, everyone should read the Switch Guidebook over there.

Read AT LEAST the first section, so you won't incorrectly draft proposals when you get there. :)

Proposal: The Switch

Just a possible alternative to "Dynasty Merge" - clarified and expanded.

For the purposes of this proposal, any unqualified reference to the rules, gamestate or front page refer to the dynasty of blognomic being played at blognomic.blogspot.com. References qualified as "beta" or similar refer to the dynasty of blognomic being played at blognomic.com.

Add any Players in this dynasty who are not Players of the beta game to the beta game, just as if they had joined that game as a new player, according to the rules of the beta game.

This dynasty ends without a winner. The wiki may contain pages detailing the history of this dynasty in the usual manner.

Replace the front page with a boilerplate document containing details about the switch, a link to the new game, and any other relevant information.

Repeal all the rules and add a rule entitled "The Move" stating

Blognomic has moved: http://blognomic.com

. "The Move" may not be repealed or amended in any way.

If this proposal, and a proposal in the beta game called "The Switch" that has the same effects as this proposal (overall; it should be written from the standpoint of the new game though), both pass, the switch is considered legal and may be carried out by any admin as soon as possible. The enacting admin(s) must then make a post to the new game stating that the switch is complete.

Proposal: Dynasty Merge.

Change the Ruleset and Gamestate of this game to the Ruleset and Gamestate of the game at Blognomic.com and merge the two games together.

Considering the lack of activity and Josh's Perma-Idling then I see no reason to keep this Dynasty around.

The problem.

There is a slight problem. This Dynasty is moving much slower than the Parallel Dynasty. It's gotten so bad that a new player joined the Parrallel Dynasty rather than this one. We need to do something. We should discuss our options here.

Idling time

The lack of activity over the last week might mean that some of the people being idled are still paying attention and just haven't cared about the three proposals we've had. If that is the case, speak up, and I'll de-idle you.

In any event, Orkboi, Noah, and Combustable all go idle.

BTW: TAE, you haven't voted in a week either. I recommend voting on something :)

Proposal: Drinking Kudos

Append to rule 14 the following:

For each drink a player consumes, ey gain one kudo, so long as eir %BAC after consuming the beverage is less than 0.5

Let's encourage responsible drinking, shall we?
