Proposal: Corporate Identity

For the purposes of

1. Encouraging Teamspersons to phrase their proposals in language appropriate to the corporate environment, and
2. Providing a unified method for proposers to include a common variety of self-amending clauses,

I propose this amendment to Rules 4 (currently entitled Proposals) and 10 (currently entitled Ascension).

Firstly, the changes to rule 10:

Change the sentence

The Hiatus then continues until the new District Manager posts an Ascension Address to the BlogNomic weblog - this should specify the District Manager's chosen theme for the new round, and may optionally include a proclamation that any number of Rules will be repealed (excluding Rules 1-10), and/or that the words "Teamsperson", "District Manager" and "Dignity" will be replaced with new theme-appropriate terms.

Following that paragraph, add this paragraph:

The Core Theme Words are:

• Teamsperson
• District Manager
• Dignity

Unless permitted by other means in other rules, any addition to this list of Core Theme Words must be submitted in a new proposal and approved by standard quorum.

Finally, after the first paragraph of rule 4, add the following paragraph:

Proposers may optionally specify particular words in their rule-changes that may be modified by the new District Manager upon his/her ascension. These changes shall NOT make substantive changes to the rule; they shall only serve to make the rule fit the new theme. These words shall be known as "Supplemental Theme Words," a list of which shall be kept after the last paragraph of every rule containing at least one.
