Cayvie's Log: the Prequel
To ease my boredom on this endless sea sojourn, it seems that my goddess has granted me insight into what other priests have been praying for. Those silly trident-heads... what will they come up with next? Speeding up their own ship, slowing down another... acting like this is some sort of a race to Ithaca, when it is obviously the wiser course of action to take what the gods give, and arrive when one is meant to. Tempting fate is never a good idea; the old tales all tell us this.
More disturbing news, though; I hear tales of dead men rising from their sea graves and assaulting our ships. I hope these events turn out to be simple rumors spread by our boastful sailors in the ports they land in.
